Multi-face Sundial

This clock type is composed of three planes and a single gnomon. The central plane corresponds exactly with a vertical non-aligned sundial, because it is not necessarily aligned with the local meridian. The shadow produced by the tip of the gnomon on the clock planes is used to read the hour and the day. It is a type of fixed clock.

The two external planes form a specific angle with the central face using the following geometric conventions in the program:

Each external plane forms a positive angle measured so that they spread toward the central face. The program currently only supports these positive angles. These angles are introduced in the program in this screen.

This sundial includes a calendar, and the proper corrections for longitude, the equation of time, and daylight savings time, in order to obtain the correct civil time.
